Reduction in Buildings (RiB)

If you were RiB'd from a Hard-to-Serve or Hard-to-Staff position, you may be eligible for RiB market incentive pay under article 7.5.1.6 of the ProComp Agreement.

Types of New Positions:

You can look for a new position yourself.

If you have signed the form and you secure a position that is not Hard to Serve or Hard to Staff, you will continue to receive the market incentive under the RiB provision.

If you have signed the form and were placed back into or secured another Hard to Serve School or Hard-to-Staff assignment, you are eligible to receive the incentive based on the new position.  If the new position is at a lower FTE, you may be eligible for the difference between the old and new FTE amounts as a RiB market incentive payment.

RiB Market Incentive Payment:

You must indicate your willingness to serve in a Hard to Serve School or Hard to Staff assignment by completing the Commitment Form. If you have not submitted the online form, you will not continue to receive Market Incentive(s) under the RiB provision.

If the RIB that forced you from a Hard to Serve or Hard to Staff assignment occurred in the current contract year, you are eligible to receive the incentive through August of that contract year.

If you are willing and slated to be in a Hard to Serve or Hard to Staff assignment the next contract year, and following these arrangements, you are RIB'd from that assignment, affecting the next contract year, you are eligible to receive the incentive through August of the following contract year.
